Personal garden photos during opening hours are limited to a small handheld camera; no extra equipment, props, outfit changes or blocking paths. Private proposal/photo sessions must be arranged in advance with Facility Rentals. General admission does not reserve a private space. Closed Mondays and major holidays; outside food is not permitted in the gardens.
Mounts Botanical Garden · West Palm Beach
Choose a botanical backdrop for engagement portraits and ask staff whether they can accommodate a simple proposal during the reserved session. The official engagement/photo-shoot page requires advance reservations. Contact the garden for availability, current fees and permission for the proposal itself; a photo reservation is not a blanket event approval. Drones are prohibited.

Pair a garden visit with a carefully planned portrait session, asking the venue in advance about incorporating a proposal and choosing a location that keeps paths clear. A dedicated photographer plus a visit intended for portraits triggers the photo-permit rules, even if the photographer is an amateur. Reserve online; permits are capped and sellouts cannot be accommodated. Standard portrait permits cover gardens, not the Main House, and do not provide exclusive access. Confirm proposal setup and video permissions separately; do not assume a portrait permit covers filming.

Make a simple garden proposal with a handwritten note, followed by a picnic in a designated picnic area. Simple proposals are welcome with paid daily admission during regular hours, without decor, florals, signs, amplified sound, staged setups or large-scale photo/video production. Keep paths clear. Weddings and vow exchanges need advance approval and payment. November 19, 2026–January 3, 2027 hours are 9 a.m.–4 p.m., with last entry at 3 p.m.; closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.
