Give yourselves a day for looking closely. Vizcaya offers a historic estate beside the bay; Fairchild offers tropical collections and garden discovery in Coral Gables. Choose one, make the journey comfortably, and let the destination hold your attention.
Vizcaya for architecture by the bay
Explore the self-guided house and gardens, noticing the details that make you stop. Guided Main House tours are currently paused for preservation work. Comfortable shoes help with garden paths and steps.
Fairchild for a tropical garden day
Choose a route through the collections, check the day’s tram and butterfly experiences, and pause when something catches your eye. Separately ticketed evening events are different from ordinary daytime admission.
Match the visit to the forecast
Both destinations involve outdoor time. Start with a comfortable route, carry water, and plan breaks. A shorter visit that both people enjoy is better than feeling obliged to cover every path.
Leave room for lunch

Mi Masa Es Tu Masa: Heirloom Corn & Masa-Making Workshop
