Art, dinner and one more little wander
A Friday date with something to discover, something delicious and room to keep talking. Begin with art so dinner starts with more than “How was your week?”
Your time, together.
5:00 p.m.
Follow your curiosity at the Norton
Visit a gallery, try a drop-in art activity if it is on that evening’s schedule and each choose an artwork the other might love. Leave enough time to look without rushing.

Take a CityPlace stroll
Finish with a short wander among public art and the neighborhood’s shops and restaurants. Look up dessert options before you arrive because individual venues close at different times.

The details that make it easy.
- Book first
- Reserve dinner first around the specific museum program you want. Some Norton tours and talks have separate sign-ups or limited capacity.
- Budget for two
- Art After Dark lists $10 adult admission; dinner, dessert, parking and transport are additional. Review Grato’s current menu to set the evening’s total.
- Getting around
- These are separate stops. Allow time to move and park or take a short rideshare; do not assume one parking payment covers the whole evening.
- Weather & comfort
- Most of the museum and dinner can be indoors; request indoor restaurant seating if rain is likely. Garden performances and the final walk depend on conditions.
- If plans change
- Skip the CityPlace walk and linger over dessert at dinner, subject to the restaurant’s availability.
