Birdwatching, harbor light & a waterfront table
Trade an ordinary afternoon for a slow boardwalk wander, a look at the boats and dinner beside the Intracoastal. The first half leaves room for quiet; the second gives you somewhere comfortable to linger.
Your time, together.
3 p.m. · 60–75 minutes
Take the slow route at Green Cay
Walk part of the 1.5-mile elevated boardwalk at 12800 Hagen Ranch Road. Bring binoculars if you have them and let each other notice the birds first. The boardwalk is open sunrise to sunset; indoor nature-center hours are shorter.

Pause at Boynton Harbor Marina
After driving east, enjoy the public open space and waterfront atmosphere at 735 Casa Loma Boulevard. Keep this a relaxed viewing stop; boat excursions and rentals require their own operator arrangements.

Share dinner at Banana Boat
Finish nearby at 739 E. Ocean Avenue with an island-inspired waterfront meal. Reserve a table, review the current menu and ask about seating preferences when booking. A waterfront view depends on the table assigned.

The details that make it easy.
- Book first
- Book the restaurant; the boardwalk is a self-guided visit. This route includes no cruise or wildlife guarantee. Allow generous travel time from west Boynton to the marina.
- Budget for two
- No boardwalk admission charge. Dinner, drinks, tax, gratuity and any parking are separate. Check the current restaurant menu to set your budget.
- Getting around
- Use a car or rideshare between Green Cay and the waterfront. The marina and restaurant are close together; follow posted parking restrictions rather than assuming marina spaces serve the restaurant.
- Weather & comfort
- The boardwalk and marina are exposed to sun, wind and storms. Skip the outdoor stops during lightning, and ask for indoor restaurant seating if rain is likely.
- If plans change
- Make it a long indoor meal if conditions are poor. On concert dates, another outdoor option is a separately planned Legends on the Lawn evening at Canyon Amphitheater; it is not next to the marina.
